The undersigned priests outlined their reasons for support in the statement below, which include the promotion of the common good, the value of human life and dignity, the pursuit of truth, and genuine support for the poor.
The official statement can be read below.

STATEMENT OF SUPPORT BY THE KAPAMPANGAN CLERGY
TO VICE-PRESIDENT LENI ROBREDO AND SENATOR KIKO PANGILINAN
We, the undersigned members of the clergy of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, through this statement, express our support for the candidacy of Vice-President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo as President and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan as Vice-President of our beloved and benighted country, the Republic of the Philippines.
The bases for our support are as follows:
WE SUPPORT CANDIDATES WHO PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD.
We believe that the common good is best served by servant leaders who hold themselves accountable to the people they serve, uphold the highest level of transparency in their governance, and inspire us to do right by our fellow Filipinos.
WE SUPPORT THE CANDIDATES WHO VALUE THE LIFE AND DIGNITY OF THE HUMAN PERSON.
We believe in a kind of governance that would respond with radical love. We long for a government that truly respects the life of every individual person and advances the well-being of all.
WE SUPPORT CANDIDATES WHO WILL FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH.
In a situation where we witness the rise of blatant misinformation and deliberate disinformation that leads to a grave distortion of our history as a people, we need leaders who will stand for and fight for the truth.
WE SUPPORT CANDIDATES WHO MANIFEST A GENUINE PREFERENTIAL OPTION FOR THE POOR.
We believe that the interests of the poor are best served by leaders who manifest a capacity to listen with empathy to the cry of the poor. Government programs borne out of empathetic listening to the plight of the poor are programs that would really address their needs.
This statement expresses our support for the candidacies of Vice-President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan as the next leaders of our country is in the fulfillment of our duty as Filipino Catholics. We firmly believe that their well-thought-out platform of governance embodies the Christian vision of the world. We believe that they are the most competent and morally credible leaders our beloved and benighted country needs.
We enjoin all Kapampangan faithful to discern and decide and make their choice on the basis of these values and their conscience.
We all pray for a peaceful and honest elections.
