My recent hospital confinement due to COVID-19 infection made me experience fear and anxiety. The reminder of our Ash Wednesday celebration last February 17, 2021 became more pronounced in my awareness during the said isolation:
“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
But God had been good and blessed me with the needed recovery from the said disease. The experience gave me the opportunity to cherish, not only the gifts of my life, but also God’s love and mercy toward me. I am so precious to Him and I love Him.
Today, March 14, 2021, I turn 64 years of age. And as I offer Him my thanksgiving for the precious gift of my life, I also remember with sincere gratitude and great appreciation all those who accompanied me with their prayers during the said confinement until now. I thank all of you for showing your good will to me and your desire for my health and good life.
As I celebrate the Mass today, I ask the Good Lord to continue giving you a share of the graces and blessings that He will bestow upon me on this day of my birthday anniversary, and in the days to come. Please, continue accompanying me with your prayers as I strive to remain faithful in placing my whole life at the service of God’s love.
To God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be given all glory, honor and praise, now and forever, Amen.

A dedicated and a pious man of God, indeed, you are truly blessed. I pray for your good health so you may continue leading the flock God have entrusted to you. You are an instrument in keeping my faith as a Catholic. I am glad we have the same birthday month, mine is March 16. I have gone through a lot, but my faith keeps me moving forward. Happy birthday to both of us, Among!
We are sadden when we hear the news about you contracting the virus, but family prayer and knowing you are closer to God and much more your mission on earth; he is not ready for you. Belated have birthday to you and you will have many more.
