Miaslagan, Mipasiknangan, and Makiagum are the three phases of Mákiramdam.
The Miaslagan phase will introduce the concept of Synod and Synodality through history, scripture, liturgy, and theology, as well as how anyone can practice it. It will be a series of videos and a podcast that will be posted on the archdiocese’s Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as on this website.
The second activity, Mipasiknangan, will be a series of Listening Sessions in parishes, schools, organizations, and institutions, with synod stewards or volunteers leading a conversation for each of us.
Finally, Miabe, the final set of activities entails the creation of an archdiocesan live Facebook show in which Archbishop Lavarias will listen to various guests and discern together. The archdiocese also invites all visual and musical artists to share their talents by entering a contest based on their interpretation of Synodality.
Through these videos, understand how synodality is practiced in the Bible and how the Lord journeyed with us.
Parishes and communities will then host listening sessions from January 03 to April 15, 2022, in which clergy, parishioners, religious communities, and other community members will be invited to participate.
Listening sessions hope that parishes and communities will discern together and share the joys and challenges of parish life so that parishes can accompany and journey with them.
Materials for the listening sessions will be available on December 15.
