According to the commission, the title is derived from the traditional phrase “ITE AD JOSEPH” (Go to Joseph ((Genesis 41:55). Taken from the words of Pharaoh to the people of Egypt during the famine.
In difficult times, one is encouraged to go to “Joseph” too, not the Old Testament figure who saved Egypt from famine, but to him, who once rescued and saved the Redeemer from those who want to take his life.

The book contains the Apostolic Letter, Patris Corde, and the Decree from the Apostolic Penitentiary granting indulgences during this year dedicated to the Foster-Father of the Redeemer.
It has also in various prayers and devotions to the saint in Kapampangan. An index of songs in English, Tagalog, and Kapampangan is also included. Within the book, illustrations of the different titles of the Saint are set in inculturated Filipino artwork.
